Let the following guidelines serve you well when choosing a contractor:

Proof: Ask for proof of licensing, and insurance (assuring it is up to date).

Budget: It is wise to set a budget and adhere to the budget. It is also wise to have an extra percentage of your budget (maybe 15% to 25%) available in the event of changes and unexpected circumstances.

References: Ask for references and actually contact those references until you are assured this contractor has the integrity to complete the work you may request.

Contract: Do not just sign a contract without examining it closely! H2 Renovations will allow the client plenty of time to read and understand what the contract states. If you do not understand anything in the contract, please ask for clarification. This contract will establish a pay schedule, depending upon the size and length of the work to be completed. Know, understand, and be prepared to meet the payment guidelines.
